You'll get the most out of your membership if you invest time into helping Chapter committees stay active and innovative.  Our committees implement the strategic plan for the Chapter.  From programs to publications to legislative activity, committee members provide the strength that enables the Chapter to meet the needs of its member communities in our area.

Newsletter Committee

SCOPE

The Newsletter Committee sits as the "editorial board" for the Association's monthly newsletter. Responsibilities include determining content and seeking quality writers for the publication.  Writes and publishes the Ohio Valley Chapter newsletter.   Content shall be subject to the policies and standards as set forth by the Ohio Valley Chapter Board of Trustees.

GOAL

The goal of the committee is to publish, 4 times a year, the chapter newsletter.  Newsletter articles should be relevant to the membership and should serve to promote CAI as an authoritative resource for information that will help our member associations promote harmony, community, and responsible leadership.

ORGANIZATION

Committee chairperson is appointed by the Board and serves as liaison between the Committee and the Board.  The position of chairperson is a one-year term.  There are no term limits.  The committee will consist of no less than 2 members.  Any variance to be approved by the Board.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Gather information and items of interest to the membership.
  • Publish a Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter Newsletter.
  • Distribute newsletters to paid members.


Website Committee

SCOPE

The purpose of the Website Committee is to develop and maintain, at the direction of the Board of Trustees, the CAI Ohio Valley Chapter website.   Content shall be subject to the policies and standards of the web service provider and the Southwest Ohio Chapter Board of Trustees.

The Committee is responsible to the Board.  It is the duty of the Committee to advise the Board and provide necessary information to the Board so prudent decisions can be made. 

GOAL

The goal of the committee is to create an online education and information resource for its members.  In addition the site should serve as a good-will ambassador to the general public, providing information and materials that will positively reflect on both CAI and the chapter with the hope that it will serve as a recruiting tool. 

Part of the information resource aspect of the website will be to create a venue where member associations can find information on area service providers.  In addition, a searchable database of articles will be maintained on the site to provide new board members with basic information to assist them in better serving their communities.
